Denise writes her heart out in her paperback journal she carries around, captures life through her lens and pours her soul into her paintings. She is well-known as Ekai or the person with the frizzy hair, big teeth with braces and awfully large pair of geeky glasses. She is weird and crazy like her sister. She loves life more than anything. She is an artist and she aspires to be a writer or designer someday. She wants to save the world in all ways possible.

She organizes her life with post-it notes as she tries to live life to the fullest. She is sometimes socially awkward with a self-deprecating sense of humour. She likes and tries a lot of things because she is that stubbornly crazy. She can be spontaneous and random more often than not. She is laid-back and she usually cuts or sews her clothes. She is accepted as being super clumsy and an accident-prone-that-she-doesn’t-find-quite-amusing kind of person. But she still considers herself lucky enough to be alive and blessed with her loving mom, supportive dad, annoyingly weird sweet sister and real friends who stick with her through thick or thin. She wants to travel the world someday.

She has a contagious laugh and infectious sunny disposition, that gives her enough strength and courage to deal with life’s adversities. She believes that being optimistic and grateful can make you happier and inspiring because it helps you accept and understand things, if not easier, better. She walks with faith. More importantly, she follows her heart and do what makes her happy. She says what she has to say, habitually through her Moleskine or through heartfelt letters, so she won’t be crippled with fear or regrets. She learns most through her scars, pain and downfall as she stumbles through life, literally most of the time. She is stronger now, and hopefully wiser. She is not the brightest, the richest, the most famous or the most beautiful but she likes to think that she has a substance (that she prefers over style) at least and she does have a heart. She is real and unlike any other.

Ink runs from the corners of my mouth. I have been eating prose from carefully paced paragraphs, laced with cliches and figures of speech from sheer number of experiences and imagination. I write to taste and feel. I pour my heart in these electronic pages struggling to find the right words i have constantly been afraid to say. But something about the way a thought pirouettes through the tip of a pen wrapped around a tangible form gives more life to an idea and assures me that it will last. Don’t read too deeply into the things i say, you might drown. I write to forget and to remember. I write to endure and to carry on. I write to be free. I will write untiI i understand and until i feel better. I will write and write until i feel euphoric and infinite.

I also delight in photographs, snippets and musings taken through my lens. Photography is my way of showing you how i see the world in my eyes that go beyond words can say. I absolutely love capturing random burst of laughters and bright smiles in an instant. I believe that photos that tell a story are beautiful because of what’s in them, not because i took them. My camera is glued to my hands and I try to take a photo everyday. Photos are one of the few things that last in this world. The world’s a big canvas and i paint with my camera.

She will carry on a pursuit where she can breadth her knowledge and creative skills in art, literature, beauty, design, style, food, travel or any industry she loves being in. She is a personal and an inspirational blogger since 2010.

The greatest happiness in life is to love and be loved. I live by this Italian saying: Vive Bene Spesso L’Amore di Risata Molto Imparando Sempre or Live well, Laugh often, Learn always and Love more.
