A great idea was started by the Brothers of the Christian Schools a century ago—the establishment of the first La Salle school in the Philippines in 1911. Today, De La Salle University continues to be a major resource of leaders and achievers in the various sectors of Philippine society. As De La Salle University embarks on its journey to the next 100 years, it is creating its next great idea—the De La Salle University Science and Technology Complex (DLSU-STC). Located in the vicinity of Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa City, the new Complex at the Leandro V. Locsin Campus is envisioned to become a major hub for scientific and technological advancements in the country.

Our very own De La Salle – Canlubang will now be called De La Salle University Science and Technology Complex with its new university logo. College of engineering, computer studies and science will move gradually to STC starting academic year 2013-2014. Last June 2012, House Launching for Colleges, Arrival of DLSU motorcade, Welcoming Ceremony and Buffet happened the entire morning to celebrate the historical event. I was with Nicole, my sister Bianca and Gracey plus some Alumni. :)

The development for the new campus includes new academic buildings (and courses), state-of-the-art research centers (leading in Asia, Australia and New Zealand), modern dorm facilities, and staff housing. With its proximity to the Laguna Technopark and commercial centers, it enjoys a vibrant and healthy urban-suburban mix that is expected to provide momentum for its development. Look at my beautiful school!

The DLSU-STC further underscores the Lasallian tradition that integrates faith and service through knowledge generation. Your future begins here. From the centennial celebration last year to the brand new name our school was given, it feels so good to be part of the history!

Good thing i brought my handy-dandy iPad with low resolution haha. Here are some of the Instagram photos i took :)  My girls decided to have lunch at Solenad afterwards with Tricia and Josh just before Gracey and I’s Ultimate training. You don’t know how much i really miss College! And i am always grateful because i wouldn’t trade any school in the world for this.
