Temper Trap has always been my favorite Australian indie rock band that was formed last 2005. I could listen to their songs endlessly and it always makes me feel like i am in a movie being watched. The core members are Jonathon Aherne on bass guitar and vocals, Toby Dundas on drums and programming, Dougy Mandagi on vocals and guitar, and Lorenzo Sillitto on guitar, keyboards and vocals. They are supplemented on tours with Joseph Greer on keyboards and guitar.

I fell in love last summer with their singles “Sweet Disposition”, “Fader” and “Love Lost”. In late 2008, they started recording their album and the album’s lead single “Sweet Disposition” was relased in Australia in October that year and it was featured in the movie 500 Days of Summer as teaser trailer and official movie soundtrack. It was also airplayed in television such as One Tree Hill, Skins, 90210, Diet Coke commercial and Philippines’ Earth Hour 2011.

“Fader” was featured in the episode Vampire Diaries and in the film Tomorrow, When the War Began. I used to have my happy dance with this song.

Recently, “Love Lost” was featured in the films No Strings Attached, I am Number Four and Star Movies’ L’Oreal advertsiment.

Their Conditions album, released last 2009, received nominations in the categories ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Breakthrough Album of the Year’, ‘Best Rock Album’ for Conditions, ‘Single of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Most Popular Australian Album’ from different music awards plus they won ‘Album of the Year’ from Drum Media Writers’ Poll. Their ‘Sweet Disposition have won the ‘Most Popular Australian Single’ and ‘Song of the Year’. Their group was nominated as ‘Best International Breakthrough Artist’, ‘Best Group’ and Conditions became Platinum at Australia and Gold at UK. Other songs in the album include: Rest, Down River, Soldier On, Fools, Resurrection, Science of Fear and Drum Song. From music festivals and concert tours, they have conquered the world through their heart melting songs. Their music and lyrics make me fall in love over and over again. I lust not only with their dynamic rhythm of the music but also with the words that drenched my soul into whole and inspires me to write poetry in my paperback journal.
